Abstract

“Fusion Me We”, is a Lesson Plan from the MOOC Urban Environmental Education from Civic Ecology Lab from Cornell University, an idea for action that immediately implemented can make a positive advance to 2025. It will bring the abundance needed to solve poverty and hunger by acheiving the Sustainable Development Global Goals. We, the people can bring good health and wellbeing, quality education, gender equality, reduced inequalities and responsible consumption, and with the cooperation of institutions, governments, the private sector, companies and schools, we can achieve responsible production, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, stronger climate action, improved conditions below water and on land, peace, justice strong institutions and partnerships for the goals.

This project has the scope and ability of a generalized approach for the global problems.

We are in the era of communication, where we can not be blinded anymore. The global network can offer solutions and bring faster growth of these goals. We can’t ignore the power of action now.

It is important to follow the examples of different places around the world with models that actually reach the objectives. A constant analysis of these several progams, identify the important variables that we can replicate to acheive the global goals.

Explanation of the problem and context

The world is living an era where civic engagement will bring action that will stop inequality. Inequality exists where some people living in the same country receive 70 liters of water per day, yet others receive 100 times more, or even places that have to walk more than 4 hours to take the water that the bucket allows them, or have to buy soda because is cheaper than water.

We live in a time where people have to leave their country because they are at risk of being killed because of who they love. Where people are losing their lives only because they are different, and they accept themselves. Where after all these years the rights of women as human beings that can help to fix everything that the actual system has brought us, have been denied the level of respect that they deserve. A basic human right.

When live in a polarized world where there is so much food waste and yet so much hunger at the same time. A world where the ethics of commercial relations has been buried, as people die due to the industries that follow this machine to make immoral money.

Where people are controlled so that they have an irresponsible consumption following the unsafe, unnecessary and unhealthy production. People are sick because these industries do not care about the land that gives us everything for everyone, they contaminated, also bringing the acidification of the oceans, which leaves us alone against this contamination.

With cities where transport is an obvious problem, so is waste and trash management. At a time when most engaged citizens know the importance of turning green, developing clean energy, stopping the destruction of the planet and dirtying people’s water or making it private. In the unbelievable, but real, immoral way of taking away the land from the people who have spent their lives there, with false promises and weapons in their hands, the mercenaries paid by governments and banks that gave this money to the companies that will allow this killing and deforestation.

At a time when institutions made for the protection and preservation, including government, are rapists, take advantage of the people, and are self-interested making themselves richer, while the world and the life in it is dying.

Proposed solution

First of all, this is a multigenerational project and the incentives will be given from sponsorships that help on the implementation with global advertising.

A significant portion of society spends at least two weekends per month on parties or social activities of recreation where different forms of art are showed. Art exhibition, performances, raves, festivals are a perfect space to develop fundraising and more if there is also national and local sale. The idea is developed in these events with the context that several artists are bringing up, with no misogyny in the lyrics, carrying a message of gender equality, collaboration and appreciation of the diversity of our world, to make a better place, action, diversity, where people can learn in an inclusive place. Events that promote the local and the healthy consumption in balance.

Following the responsible consumption and production, the media has to be monitored and stop the brain wash to buy things not needed, so the product has to come with the legend of the process of making and substances that affect us in different ways. With action of institutions also, the implementation of the support of governments, schools, museums, zoos, cultural houses, parks or places that are not use, where we can develop these events, a comunal compost or energy generador and community Garden with pollinetors flowers. Community gardens can also offer jobs and combat poverty, so as the events above mentioned and the activities that will be mentioned in this proposal.

Continuing with the food, the force is on your plate, as Dr. Gunhild Stordalen says, good health and wellbeing goals can be achieved, if these same places are used as a functional training area, where people can visit nutritionists, psychologists and general doctors, and pay lower prices with the sponsorship of the government and private institutions.

Both governments and private institutions, can offer quality education, decent work and economic growth. By listening and acting according to the people in need, giving fair wages to the teachers and building better infrastructures needed for studying. By making regulations of the fair treatment and fair working hours (counting the time between home and work place) and promote more work at home. Also, this regulation mostly protects human rights, offering the same opportunities and equal pay to everybody.

These two also can offer sustainable cities, if they invest in renewable energy like solar panels, public transportation, bus stops, buildings and making cities bicycle friendly. Investing in trash cans made of recycling plastic and turning waste into a resource making energy from the garbage. If the renewable energies are used, it can be applied in places where it is difficult to build infrastructure. Savings can be invested on water infrastructure, so everybody can have clean water and sanitation. Also, a regulation must be clear to governments and private companies; they can not take the water of the people and sell it to them.

We all know that water is life and so that is why regulations and norms must be followed to ensure care for the life of water, this will bring benefits to us making a big climate action. The oceans must be protected, the companies that are creating devestation must be stopped and forced to repair the damages or finance the institutions and schools that are working for it. These regulations also must defend the right of earth that belongs to the people that work for it, and not to the ones that take it away from them. Using Ebro water system in the places possible, and invest on infrastructure to transport water. The human right of security must be respected. It is time to stop being crazy and take action to stop immediately the known genocide of the world.

We are at a crucial moment for life on earth, a moment where partnerships most work together to the peace and justice worthy of the era we live in. We must to take action now, because tomorrow there will be no turning back.

These spaces mentioned above can also been used as places for bed, breakfast, male, dinner, showers and integration for migrants and refugees caused for the no right respected as we all know.

Roadmap to adoption:

Make the deal with the places above mentioned, or the occupation of places without actual use.
Follow the programming of activities and events.
Make the authorization of the rules for the defense of the planet and life in it.
Have constant evaluations to ensure that the bylaws are followed with transparency.

Abstract Summarizing the key points of the proposal

Use existing infrastructure and unused spaces to make cultural events where gender equality, diversity, climate actions, responsible consumption, life below the water, life on land is diffused. Make a fundraising effort to support part of this proposal.

Build a kind of hostel for Equal Adaptation Migratory, to receive people in migration, refugees or asylum seekers, where they have a place to sleep, eat, take a shower and integrate with people of the community. This will raise the sense of place, create a stronger community identity and more inclusiveness opening the minds of the community while also reducing inequalities. This proposal focuses on industry innovation infrastructure with a moral focus and respecting the human rights.

Community gardens where people can interact, creating a trustworthy society, bringing positive youth developments and multigenerational interactions, with potentials for economic growth and civic engagement. This can also make a strong community that can act for a improved sustainable city. With the help of the private sector and governments it can bring affordable and clean energy.

This proposal seeks to aid in the implementation and achievement of norms that protect and work for common benefit, such as better access to health, clean water and sanitation, decent work, decent life on land, peace, justice and collaboration for the sustainable development global goals.
